PDF Cutter Extension is a Chrome extension for splitting, reordering, and merging PDF files. All PDF processing is performed entirely on your local device. We do not collect, store, or transmit any user data.

Permissions Used

Storage Permission

The storage permission is used to save user preferences such as theme mode and language selection. These settings persist across browser sessions so users don't need to reconfigure them each time they open the extension. No document data or PDF content is ever stored.

Side Panel Permission

The sidePanel permission is required to display the PDF editing interface in Chrome's side panel. This provides users with a dedicated workspace to view PDF thumbnails, select pages, drag-and-drop to reorder, and export edited documents. The side panel offers a better user experience than a popup due to the larger workspace needed for PDF page manipulation.
